Stooges for Islamofascism: Religious organizations

American Friends Service Committee (AFSC), aka American Friends of Terrorists and Submission to Islamofascism Committee
  • American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) is believed to violate IRS regulations regarding the conduct of tax-exempt organizations.
    • (Source) "The American Friends Service Committee is and has always been committed to undermining Western democracy, propping up Communist regimes and working for the total disarmament of the United States in the face of her enemies."
    • AFSC also is working to undermine our country's Armed Forces while consorting with the International Solidarity Movement, which advocates and facilitates terroristic violence.

An influential Anglican group is to ask church leaders to impose a boycott of Israel and firms that do business there in protest at the occupation.

...Dozens of professors at prestigious American universities, including Princeton and Harvard, have signed a petition calling for an end to US military aid to Israel and for their universities to divest from firms doing business there.

Among the targets would be Israeli products such as fruit, shops that do business there and companies such as Caterpillar, which sells the bulldozers used by the army to destroy Palestinian homes.

"I hope that even by mentioning that we could call for this it would serve as an invitation for dialogue with the Israeli government," said Ms Te Paa.

By "mentioning it," Ms. Te Paa raises only the specter of sanctions against the Anglican Church in the United States, especially given the proposed boycott of Israel fruit (I am not sure if the statement above refers to the Anglican Peace and Justice Network's proposal or the petition by the Ganelons at Princeton and Harvard), if the Anglican Churches in the U.S. are malevolent and reckless enough to go along with it. As a reminder:

"In 1977, the US Congress passed a law creating the Office of Antiboycott Compliance within the Department of Commerce to make sure that the Arab boycott of Israel does not take root in the US. Such actions would create de facto foreign policy; an area that Congress affirmed is under its jurisdiction. The law established that no US persons may take actions in support of an unsanctioned foreign boycott of a nation that is friendly to the United States. The law mainly applies to Israel, and as a result, nobody in the US may engage in a boycott of Israel in support of the Arab boycott of Israel."

My letter to the Anglican Peace and Justice Network, 24 September 2004

Dear Reverend Grieves, Ms. Blair,
cc: BoycottWatch.org

I read about this in soc.culture.israel: http://www.guardian.co.uk/israel/Story/0,2763,1311571,00.html

"An influential Anglican group is to ask church leaders to impose a boycott of Israel and firms that do business there in protest at the occupation."

Before the Anglican Peace and Justice Network goes any further with this, I encourage it to read the following very carefully. http://www.boycottwatch.org/abi/divest002.htm

I am not a lawyer and I cannot provide you with legal advice but I would also have some very serious concerns about the use of 501(c)(3) tax
exempt resources in which "church leaders impose a boycott of Israel and firms that do business there." This is something you might want to look into on your own before proceeding along those lines.

As for your concern about the Palestinians as shown by, "The leader of the group, Jenny Te Paa, said the delegation from Anglican churches across the globe was so shocked by the plight of the Palestinians, including the construction of the concrete and steel barrier through the West Bank, that there was strong support for a boycott," you might want to remember that you and I have to submit to metal detectors and luggage
searches if we want to travel by air because militant "Islamic"* terrorists hijacked four airplanes and crashed them into buildings full of innocent people a little more than three years ago.

The Palestinians have to put up with this barrier for similar reasons: an ongoing litany of mindless violence against innocent men, women, and children in Israel. The Palestinians built that wall themselves and now they will have to live with it.

* I make a very clear distinction between militant "Muslims" or Islamofascists and genuine Muslims. The former use religion to excuse or foment violence, the latter belong to one of the world's great religious faiths.

Presbyterrorist Presbyterian Church USA: knowingly and willfully hosting pro-terrorist events
Per http://www.norcalism.org/activisttour.htm#events, the following Presbyterrorist Churches are knowingly and willfully hosting "Nonviolent Resistance to Israeli Occupation," by convicted Fatah member Ayed Morrar and anarchist Jonathan Pollack. The churches were notified, by easily-verifiable E-mail communications, about the International Solidarity Movement's advocacy and facilitation of terroristic violence but apparently chose to allow the event to proceed nonetheless.
  • Calvary Presbyterian,  2515 Fillmore Street, San Francisco, October 29 2005
    • No reply stating that the event would be cancelled was received so we assume it went ahead
  • St. John's Presbyterian Church, 2727 College Ave, Berkeley, November 1 2005
    • Said it was not going to cancel the event
About Ayed Morrar, also known as Abu Ahmed. http://www.norcalism.org/activisttour.htm#events states,
"Ayed is a well-known advocate and speaker for nonviolent resistance in Palestine, has advised other committees on tactics and principles, has sat on government councils, and has conducted one previous overseas speaking tour (in Sweden). He has been physically attacked many times for his efforts and has spent more than six years in Israeli prisons." Israel does not imprison people for purely political crimes so it is reasonable to assume that he was put in jail for activities associated with terrorism. He himself says that he was a Fatah leader for a village.

Presbyterrorist Church USA: church elder Ronald Stone knowingly and willfully meets with actual terrorists

The Presbyterian Church of the USA is 501(c)(3) tax-exempt because it is a religious institution whose mission supposedly includes the betterment of American society through charitable and religious works. Its recent actions, however, raise the burning question of just how far a religious organization can go against public policy, not to mention common decency, and remain tax-exempt. We wonder if meeting with a terrorist organization that murdered 240 United States Marines is enough (see also), or if PCUSA would actually have to burn someone alive as a witch before the IRS reassessed its status.

Ronald Stone, an elder of the Presbyterian Church USA, met with leaders of Hizbollah (or Hezbollah). According to the U.S. State Department, Hizballah (Party of God) is a foreign terrorist organization (FTO). The legal criteria for a FTO includes, "The organization's terrorist activity or terrorism must threaten the security of U.S. nationals or the national security (national defense, foreign relations, or the economic interests) of the United States." In other words, an elder of PCUSA met with an organization that is officially deemed a threat to the security of the United States.

http://christianactionforisrael.org/antiholo/loud.html adds, "Stone also said that he finds Islamic leaders much better company than Jewish leaders. Obviously, this man missed the flight to New York and toward the Twin Towers. He also had no children at school in Belsan, Russia, when his Islamic friends shouted, "Allah Akbar!" and then, as always, as practically everywhere… the slaughter begins."

And Mr. Stone is not the only PCUSA representative to knowingly and willfully meet with an organization on the U.S. State Department's list of foreign terrorist organizations (FTOs). http://www.wlns.com/global/story.asp?s=2446131&ClientType=Printable
"[Reverend Nile] Harper's 24-member delegation met yesterday with the south Lebanon commander of Hezbollah. Washington calls Hezbollah a terrorist group, but Lebanon it sees as a legitimate resistance movement against Israeli occupation of Arab lands." Another Presbyterian group meets with Hezbollah leader
By John H. Adams

With the Presbyterian Church (USA) already under fire for its one-sided policy calling for divestment of funds in corporations that do business with Israel, another delegation from the PCUSA met recently with the leader of Southern Lebanon's Hezbollah, a reputed terrorist organization. [It's not a "reputed terrorist organization," it is on the U.S. State Department's official list of Foreign Terrorist Organizations, by the way.]

The meeting had a highly partisan political flavor, with the Hezbollah leader criticizing the policies of President George W. Bush and the spokesman for the Presbyterian delegation assuring his host that the members of the delegation had voted Democratic and did not support the U.S. policies in the Mideast.

...The PCUSA delegation was led by the Rev. Nuhad Tomeh, whose work as the associate general secretary of Middle East Conference of Churches in Beirut is profiled on a PCUSA Web page. Tomeh is also the regional liaison for the PCUSA for Syria, Lebanon, Iraq and the Gulf.

The spokesman for the PCUSA delegation was Robert Worley, a retired professor at McCormick Theological Seminary. Worley also taught part-time from 1980 to 1998 at the near East School of Theology in Beirut. He received the first McCormick Seminary Service Award in 2003. The award said Worley "reflected McCormick's commitments to global ecumenical interfaith, multicultural (immigrant) and urban faith in communities, and to the values of love, justice, peace, and disciplined and critical reflection."

The Uniterrorist Unitarian Universalist Church: knowingly and willfully hosting pro-terrorist events
The Uniterrorist Universalist Church seems to have very strong connections to the International Solidarity Movement, which has a well-established track record for advocating and facilitating terroristic violence, as well as connections to Hamas-- which is on the U.S. State Department's official list of foreign terrorist organizations. Examples include:
  • http://www.catdestroyshomes.org/endorse.php includes among its list of endorsers, "Unitarian Universalists for Justice in the Middle East - Philadelphia, PA" (along with typical scum like Tikkun)
  • http://www.endtheoccupation.org/article.php?id=330&printsafe=1 lists "Unitarian Universalists for Justice in the Middle East" and of course the usual vermin like Women in Black Face-Covering Burqas, Tikkun, and various Palestine Solidarity Committees.
  • http://www.chicagoantiwar.org/ lists "Social Action Committee of Third Unitarian Church" among its sponsors, along with filth like "Chicago Democratic Socialists of America" and "Chicagoland Anarchist Network." Turds of a feather really do flock together.
  • A Google search for "International Solidarity Movement" and "Unitarian" produces additional links too numerous to list here.
The following Uniterrorist Unitarian Universalist Churches knowingly and willfully hosted "Nonviolent Resistance to Israeli Occupation," by convicted Fatah member Ayed Morrar and anarchist Jonathan Pollack. The churches were notified, by easily-verifiable E-mail communications, about the International Solidarity Movement's advocacy and facilitation of terroristic violence but chose to allow the event to proceed nonetheless.
  • Uniterrorist Unitarian Universalist Church of Palo Alto hosted this event on October 27 2005 despite being presented with verifiable and unequivocal evidence from the Palestine Chronicle that the ISM's Adam Shapiro and Huwaidi Arraf advocate the use of violence in conjunction with nonviolent methods to achieve their goals. Their Congregational Administrator told me she "did not wish to receive more E-mails about the matter" and she apparently hung up on another person who wanted to inform her organization about the true nature of what they were hosting. Genuine Unitarians who oppose the use of terroristic violence might want to reconsider their association with this particular church.
Union for Reform Judaism
Per Mona Charen's Jewish Useful Idiots,
The Union for Reform Judaism thus makes common cause with those who object to Israel's attempt to defend herself, even to prevent suicide murderers from entering the country. The security fence has already saved countless Israeli lives, while offering the Palestinians their first opportunity for total self-rule in Gaza.
The arrticle also shows how the URJ sympathizes with the enemies of the United States, the same enemies that are murdering American soldiers.
In a letter to President Bush alerting him to the URJ's action, Robert Heller and Rabbi Eric Yoffe lost no opportunity to flaunt their supposed moral sensitivity. Calling the war a "major tragedy" that has "discredited … America in the international community" and "contributed to the growth of terrorism..."
The Union for Reform Judaism was formerly the Union of American Hebrew Congregations, an oxymoron if I ever heard one; its values are neither Jewish nor American. One might in fact argue that URJ and UAHC are a "poligion," i.e. left wing politics masquerading as a religion. See also my Israpundit article about these vermin.
