Throughout history, there have always been "people"-- I use the term loosely-- who were willing to betray their own people. The motivation might be personal gain, or even misguided personal satisfaction. Today, they seek to betray Western Civilization to the savagery and barbarism of militant "Islam." They may be actual traitors to their own cultures and nations, or simply well-meaning but misguided stooges and useful idiots. The bottom line effect is, however, the same.
Here are some examples, with their modern day equivalents interspersed with them.

• So-called "anti-racist" group MRAP (rhymes with CRAP) and Human Rights League for their lawsuit against Brigitte Bardot for her book, A Cry in the Silence, ("Un cri dans le silence") which is critical of militant "Islam." The so-called Human Rights League must be for the right of Arab males to oppress, whip, stone, and rape women.
• Oxfam Belgium's promotion of an anti-Israel boycott puts it squarely on the side of the terrorists.

1. At the top is the militant "Islamic" leader, one who is responsible for orchestrating militant "Islamic" fronts around the world. He is likely to have access to oil money from Saudi Arabia or a similar country, or funding from the Palestinian Authority, Hamas, Hezbollah, Al Aqsa Martyr's Brigade, and so on.
2. Next comes the fellow traveller, the universal "revolutionary" who tacitly approves of violence and terror as methods of social and political change. He may be, for example, an Irish Republican Army terrorist who, while not a militant "Muslim," feels a comradeship with his "Islamic" revolutionary counterparts. He also may be part of a nonviolent extension of a militant organization (like Sinn Fein).
3. Third in the hierarchy is the sympathizer. He would not participate personally in terroristic activities, but he condones or "understands" those who do. I would place Greta Duisenberg and Oxfam Solidarity in this category.
4. Finally there is the dupe, stooge, or useful idiot. This is the person who does not approve of terrorism but hides his/her in the sand and pretends it doesn't exist. He/she doesn't want it to exist, so it doesn't. This is where I classify Noam Chomsky, Rabbi Michael Lerner and Tikkun.org, and the United Methodist Church council of bishops.
• The renowned columnist Thomas Sowell recounts Vladimir Lenin's definition: "blind defenders and apologists for the Soviet Union in the Western democracies." Regarding Stalin's planned genocidal famine in the Ukraine, "...many useful idiots denied that there were famines in the Soviet Union or in Communist China. The most famous of these was the New York Times' Moscow correspondent, Walter Duranty, who won a Pulitzer prize for telling people what they wanted to hear, rather than what was actually happening. Duranty assured his readers that 'there is no famine or actual starvation, nor is there likely to be.'"
• Science fiction writer Orson Scott Card (Ender's Game, Alvin Journeyman) writes, "'useful idiots' is the term Lenin is reputed to have used to describe writers and leaders in the free world who, without realizing it, served the purposes of international Communism as surely as if they were getting their daily instructions from the Kremlin. Which, of course, some of them were."

"Look at the pastoral letter on 9/11 put out by the United Methodist Council of Bishops. The judgment that 9/11 was a 'shattering evil' was cut from the final draft. 'Violence in all its forms and expression is contrary to God's purpose for the world,' the bishops concluded. This apparently means that both rapists and those who drive off rapists with baseball bats are acting in an un-Christian manner. "Protestant clerics have also found a higher moral authority in Kofi Annan. General Secretary Jim Winkler of the United Methodist Church General Board of Church and Society... has stated flatly that 'no member nation has the right to take unilateral military action without the approval of the U.N. Bradamante: "King Charles! That's Roland's horn; he must need help desperately!" Ganelon: "That's nonsense. There is no horde of militant 'Islamic' Saracens, and it's two hundred miles from here anyway. Roland is out hunting and he is blowing his horn because he has killed a deer."

The Georgetown Marriott Conference Center rejected a "terrorism" symposium on the grounds that the sponsoring organization was too controversial and the venue inappropriate for this type of forum. Concurrently, another Marriott Hotel in the Washington area is hosting the Council on American- Islamic Relations' annual conference – and participating as a panelist at the gala will be an alleged coconspirator of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.

• Jane Fonda, aka Hanoi Jane  A true paragon of the "peace" movement!
• This from Women In Green, per the above link: "Hanoi Jane! Hanoi Jane! You are an American traitor! How many Americans were killed because of you? You are an American traitor and you came to Israel as a guest of Peace Now, Israeli traitors- You constantly identify with the enemies of the Western world. • Fonda might not legally be a traitor because treason consists of levying war against the United States or giving aid and comfort to its enemies. North Vietnam was not legally an "enemy" of the United States because Congress had not declared war. Not legal advice, I am not a lawyer. In any event, the lesson is that Congress should declare war the next time. There is no doubt that Jane Fonda is morally a traitor to her country and to American servicemen.

• TheStruggle.org "Middle East Crisis Committe" (Perhaps should be "MyStruggle.org," as in Mein Kampf). Links anti-Israeli and anti-American propaganda cartoons that portray Israeli and U.S. armed force personnel as murderers.
• Oxfam Belgium, which now calls itself Oxfam Solidarity. Omdurman.org has called upon Ian Anderson (the head of the Oxfam Secretariat, not the flute player of Jethro Tull) to sever Oxfam International's ties with Oxfam Belgium. "Either you're with us or you're with the terrorists."

October 2002: Russians storm Moscow theatre, slaughter terrorists, free 700 hostages from their barbaric captors. Way to go, Ivan! Ivan has been having trouble with militant "Islam" for hundreds of years. Peter the Great, Catherine the Great, Aleksandr Suvorov, and Mikhail Kutuzov (better known for his victory over Napoleon) knew what to do about these rabid dogs.

May 2003: Actress Brigitte Bardot for her new book, A Cry in the Silence ("Un cri dans le silence"), available from amazon.fr. "In the book, she wrote: "I am against the Islamization of France. For centuries our forefathers ... our fathers gave their lives to chase all successive invaders from France." You're in good company, Ms. Bardot: I mean Charles Martel and Charlemagne. We are well aware that France often betrays its own heroes and heroines, like Joan of Arc and Charlemagne's paladins Roland and Oliver.
