A Jewish Voice for Peace = A Jewish Voice for Hamas
We previously reported how the white supremacist Vanguard News Network and Stormfront.org are citing A Jewish Voice for Peace and the Rebuilding Alliance to show how Jews “murdered” the blonde, blue-eyed Aryan peace activist Rachel Corrie. We also discussed A Jewish Voice for Peace’s direct ties to the International Solidarity Movement, and its Form 990 tax returns. Now
it is also a matter of record that A Jewish Voice for Peace is
whitewashing and making excuses for Hamas, a Foreign Terrorist
Organization as defined by the U.S. State Department.
A Jewish Voice for Peace’s Muzzlewatch blog (the one that talks
about free speech and open discussion while being closed to outside
comments or debate) accuses Lee Kaplan of “making up facts,” but JVP
will have a lot of trouble arguing that Lee Kaplan or some other
bogeyman is their own Webmaster. The following statments come directly
from JVP’s own Web pages (like its reports of how it is becoming a
force that Congressional representatives must reckon with, while
telling the IRS it does not spend any money on lobbying). As we have
said in previous pieces, A Jewish Voice for Peace should stop looking
for a bogeyman in its closet, behind its bushes, or under its bed. It
needs to look in the mirror to see its own worst enemy.
Q: What is the difference between A Jewish Voice for Peace and a Judenrat (Nazi-appointed Jewish governing organization)?
A: The Judenrat members often had guns to their heads, sometimes literally. JVP collaborates with the enemy for free.
Here is how A Jewish Voice for Peace serves as A Jewish Voice for Hamas
Hamas Wins Palestinian Elections: Questions you need answered
The stunning victory by Hamas in the Palestinian election has raised
many questions. Jewish Voice for Peace offers some answers to help our
members and supporters make sense of these momentous developments.
Hamas’ charter explicitly calls for Israel’s destruction; it bars
recognition of Israel and compromise with her. The charter also commits
the group to armed struggle and, in describing its view of Israeli and
Zionist plans, cites the Protocols of the Elders of Zion (a Russian
forgery from the very early 20th century that is the seminal piece of
modern anti-Semitic literature) as its source. Hamas has engaged in
many criminal acts of attacking civilians.
But Hamas has another side as well. It has established an extensive
social services network, especially in the Gaza Strip. Many
Palestinians have gotten much more material aid through and from Hamas
than the PA over the years…
Right: “Hamas’ charter explicitly calls for Israel’s destruction; it
bars recognition of Israel and compromise with her. The charter also
commits the group to armed struggle and, in describing its view of
Israeli and Zionist plans, cites the Protocols of the Elders of Zion BUT…”
Adolf Hitler started a war that probably killed forty or fifty million
people, including seven million of his own, BUT he was a vegetarian who
was kind to animals. The Grand Gizzard of the Ku Klux Klan lynched
Negroes right and left, BUT he did volunteer work for his church and
coached Little League when he wasn’t out night riding and putting
Negroes in their places.
Q: So is Hamas a terrorist group?
A: Yes. But many terrorist groups have become governments or taken leadership positions in governments in the past…
Q: So was John Wayne Gacy a serial killer?
A: Yes. But he was also an artist who drew excellent pictures of clowns. Come to think of it, Adolf Hitler also was an artist and, while not outstanding, he was certainly competent.
But while fear should never be ignored, it must also not
be allowed to overcome reason. Hamas is the legitimately elected party
in power. It is reasonable to expect them to act like a legitimate
political party, but it is not reasonable to simply say there will be
no dealing with them. There are good reasons to be afraid of Hamas.
There are even better ones, particularly if there is to be any hope for
a better future, to engage them.
And there are even better better reasons to exterminate them to the last man, the way one puts down rabid animals.

week earlier.
Suicide Bombing in Israel, March 27, 2002: A suicide bombing in a
noted restaurant in Netanya, Israel, killed 22 persons and wounded 140.

bag in the Frank Sinatra International Student Center of Jerusalem’s
Hebrew University killed 9 persons and wounded 87. The dead included 5
U.S. citizens and 4 Israelis. The wounded included 4 U.S. citizens, 2
Japanese, and 3 South Koreans. The Islamic Resistance Movement (HAMAS)
claimed responsibility.
Suicide Bomb Attack in Israel, September 19, 2002: A suicide bomb
attack on a bus in Tel Aviv killed 6 persons and wounded 52. One of the
dead was a British subject. HAMAS claimed responsibility.

attack on a bus in Jerusalem’s French Hill district killed 7 persons
and wounded 20. The bomber was disguised as a religious Jew. HAMAS
claimed responsibility

A Jewish Voice for Hamas Peace continues,
Q: Is Hamas prepared to engage in diplomacy with Israel?
A: Not at present, but there are indications that this could change.
Hamas’ charter bars negotiating, recognizing or making any compromises
with Israel. For the time being, they are sticking to that line, but
even their own officials are saying that such a stance is incompatible
with being the leading Palestinian party. Hamas understands that they
are going to have to change. One Hamas official has already said that,
while Hamas is not prepared for direct negotiations, if Israel has
“something to offer, 1,000 ways can be found” to negotiate, which
likely means negotiating through third parties.
Israel not only offered, but gave, the Palestinians an autonomous
state in Gaza. Upon taking control, they immediately destroyed
greenhouses in which they could have grown food while demolishing
synagogues they might have turned into schools, homes, hospitals, or
even mosques. These are the actions of rabid animals, not rational
human beings. In contrast, the Ottoman Turks–the Evil Empire of their
day–converted the Hagia Sophia into a mosque after they captured
Constantinople in 1453. Then the Palestinians began to fire rockets at
civilian targets in Israel. The only possible negotiation with a group
that behaves in this manner comes from the barrel of a cannon or the
bomb bay of an aircraft.
A Jewish Voice for Peace continues by showing how Palestinian “democracy” is superior to American and Israeli democracy.
Q: What does this election say about Palestinian democracy?
A: Considering that this election took place under military
occupation and was run by a Palestinian Authority that does not have
anything like the resources of an independent government, the election,
in and of itself, was a triumph for the Palestinians. Virtually free of
any scandals, and with nearly 78% of eligible voters participating, the
election was a huge success. In terms of participation, transparency
and verified honesty of the ballot, one would have to dig deep and far
before one found an Israeli or American national election that could
match it.
Contrary to A Jewish Voice for Hamas’ statement that “one would have
to dig deep and far before one found an Israeli or American national
election that could match it,” we have yet to see an election whose
aftermath included Republican death squads murdering Democrats, or vice
versa, to take over an entire state the way Hamas has taken over Gaza.
Now consider the following:
Jewish Voice for Peace Condemns Israeli Killing of Hamas Leader
SAN FRANCISCO - March 22 - Jewish Voice for Peace, the
largest Jewish peace group of its kind in the United States, earlier
today criticized the Israeli government for its assassination of Hamas’
spiritual leader, Sheikh Ahmed Yassin. …”Ariel Sharon has once again
put Israeli lives in peril with an act that is sure to escalate the
violence in this conflict,” said Mitchell Plitnick, co-director of
Jewish Voice for Peace.
Who was Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, who is currently of far greater service to the world as worm food and fertilizer than he ever was while he was breathing?
Yassin did not restrict his remarks to Israelis, but included all Jews stating that “Reconciliation with the Jews is a crime.”
Following his release, Yassin resumed his leadership of Hamas. He immediately resumed his calls for attacks on Israel, using tactics including suicide bombings,
thus violating the condition of his release. His epigram is his most
famous quote: “We chose this road, and will end with martyrdom or
victory”.
After a woman’s suicide bombing at the Erez crossing on January 14,
2004, in which Reem Raiyshi detonated herself, Yassin expressed his
satisfaction with the execution of the attack. When asked about the
execution of the attack by a woman, Yassin said, “Hamas views women as
the reserve force”.
CAMERA elaborates further on Yassin’s statements.
In a later interview Sheikh Yasin declared:
Reconciliation with the Jews is a crime … If reconciliation means a truce and a cessation of fighting for a specified period of time, Islam
allows the imam [leader] of the Muslims to undertake such a
reconciliation if he believes that the enemy is strong and the Muslims
are weak and need time to prepare and buildup. I single out
Palestine in particular, because it is a land of holy places and an
Islamic religious endowment (waqf) that cannot be conceded by any
ruler, president or king. Nor may any generation concede it, because it
is the property of all generations of Muslims until the Day of
Judgement. As for the permitted duration of the truce, many Islamic
jurists are of the opinion that it must not exceed 10 years.(Filastin
al-Muslimah (London), March 1995)
This is the infamous hudna or phony peace, and only an idiot would
accept such a truce when the aggressor’s back is to the wall. The
fact that A Jewish Voice for Peace seems to advocate this sort of thing
means that its leaders consist of stooges and useful idiots at best,
assuming that they are not willingly working for Israel’s destruction. This perception is reinforced by the following statement:
Jewish group backs talks with Hamas
A Jewish group called for talks with a new, Hamas-led Palestinian government.
In a statement, Jewish Voice for Peace called the rise of
Hamas a “matter of great concern to every Jewish group,” but said
negotiations are the “only way” out of the current conflict.
“It is not more acceptable for the Palestinian Authority to refuse
to talk to Israel than it is for Israel or the U.S. to refuse to talk
with the legitimately elected representatives of the Palestinian
people,” the group says.
Israel refuses to talk to Hamas until it renounces terrorism and
recognizes Israel’s right to exist, a position backed by the United
States.
We didn’t know that “negotiations are the “only way” out of the
current conflict” with an organization that perpetrates terrorism while
saying that Israel does not have a right to exist. Killing the
terrorists to the last man would work a lot better. Once someone is at
room temperature, we guarantee that he is not going to detonate a bomb
filled with poison-tipped nails in a shopping mall, pizza restaurant,
synagogue, or hospital. That individual’s hudna (phony truce)
guarantees only that he will wait for the right opportunity to kill as
many civilians as possible.
Jewish Voice for Peace Calls For Talks With New Palestinian Government
by Mitchell Plitnick reinforces the above: Israel should talk with and
negotiate with an organization that is in the business of murdering
civilians, including women and children, while saying that Israel does
not have a right to exist. Our position is that Hamas does not have a
right to exist, and that individuals who are in the business of
murdering civilians do not have a right to live. Of course, according to A Jewish Voice for Hamas and its allies, Hamas terrorists are no worse than Evangelical Christians:
The Faith Factor (The Nation) Barbara Ehrenreich compares the American Christian Right to Hamas
…JPN Commentary: In this commentary from “The Nation,” Barbara
Ehrenreich brilliantly likens the ascendancy of the American
evangelical right to that of the Hamas movement. What she means is that
the Christian right has succeeded in the US in much the same way that
Hamas became so powerful in the Territories: not by appealing to the
faithful so much as by creating an alternative welfare system that has
served as the safety net for those — and there are more and more in the
Occupied Territories as well as in the US — who are on the edge of (or
already facing) economic catastrophe. And, like Hamas, the
evangelical right in America also advocates the destruction of the
existing system of social welfare, which would further increase the
movement’s power.
As far as we know, Evangelical Christians have yet to detonate nail
bombs in shopping malls or pizza restaurants, or cut off heads while
chanting to Jesus. On this page, meanwhile, A Jewish Voice for Peace supports American aid to Hamas, a Foreign Terrorist Organization.
(Remember, this group told the IRS in 2003 and 2004 that it did not
make any efforts to influence legislation, and we are looking forward
to reading its 2006 Form 990 tax return.)
Earlier this year, HR 4681, the “Palestinian
Anti-Terrorism Act of 2006″ passed the House overwhelmingly. A milder
version, S. 2370 passed the Senate as well. Because the two bills were
different, they did not become law. Today, however, the House passed
the Senate version of the bill by voice vote.
Only the President’s signature remains. Click here to urge the
President not to sign this bill into law. Also, you can magnify the
impact of this message by calling the White House or faxing directly at
the following numbers:
Phone 202-456-1111
Fax 202-456-2461
S 2370 would severely restrict all funds to the Palestinian people,
making humanitarian aid more difficult and would also severely limit
diplomatic contacts with the duly elected Palestinian government. Since
the US has not given direct aid to the Palestinian Authority in years,
this bill will only stop funds that would not get into the hands of a
Hamas-led PA anyway. It would also severely impact funding for UN
programs designed to help the Palestinian people.
The Palestinian people have faced enormous hardships, even by their standards, in 2006. This bill will only make it worse.
The Web page shows a picture of a young Palestinian boy as “One of
many targets of s. 2370,” while leaving out its intended targets: the terrorists who are now firing rockets at Israeli civilians. A Jewish Voice for Peace then joins the International Solidarity Movement, the United Nations, and MoveOn.org in blaming Israel for all the violence since 1967:
Israeli soul corrupted by 40 years of occupation
Tsela Barr, guest columnist, The Capital Times — 6/09/2007
Many of us who grew up both Jewish and American were taught that
Israel’s Six Day War of 1967 was a tale of the small country of Israel
fighting off the attacking armies of Egypt, Jordan and Syria, and
winning — a modern-day David against the Arab Goliath. Images of
soldiers praying at the Western Wall of the newly conquered East
Jerusalem filled many of us with warm emotions.
The question is: What did this war signify for this volatile area?
…This year marks the 40th anniversary of the 1967 war and of the illegal occupation of Palestinian lands.
It has not brought peace, prosperity or security to Israelis or
Palestinians and has, in the words of one rabbi, “morally corrupted the
Israeli soul.”
The 1967 war created the longest-lasting military occupation in history. From
it sprang the establishment of the illegal Jewish settlements in these
areas, the Yom Kippur War with Egypt in 1973, the 1982 Lebanon
invasion, and both the intifadas.
Most important, the Six Day War cemented the Israeli-American alliance, in which Israel
has and continues to get more U.S. aid than any other country and acts
with impunity despite 65 U.N. sanctions against its various illegal
actions, due to the U.S. veto. According to Noam Chomsky, Israel has become a de facto offshore U.S. military base.
It is to be remembered that the 1967 war was triggered by Arab
preparations for yet another effort to drive the Jews into the sea, a
fact that JVP and its cohorts omit while shilling for terrorists and
the United Nations, the same group whose pedophiles peacekeepers offered girls as young as seven food in exchange for sex. A Jewish Voice for Hamas continues,
Former U.S. Secretary of State James Baker recently told
members of the Bush administration that the Israeli/Palestinian
conflict constituted the epicenter of global instability. Though hardly
a liberal, he understands that until a just solution to the oppression
of Palestinians is found, there will be neither real security for
Israel, peace in the Middle East, nor geo-strategic stability for the
United States. The Israel/Palestine conflict needs to be of the utmost
concern to all Americans.
Ah yes, James “The Jews don’t vote for us anyway” Baker is a very credible source for JVP.
