A Muslim minicab driver refused to take a blind passenger because her guide dog was “unclean”. Abdul Rasheed Majekodumni told Jane Vernon she could not get into his car with the dog because of his religion.

The English language actually lacks words to describe the level of contempt and disgust that is appropriate for an individual who discriminates against a disabled person. “Subhuman” comes to mind, as does “vermin,” except most genuine vermin like rats and cockroaches are far less offensive. A rat can’t help being a rat and it doesn’t behave like a rat out of malice but this individual chose to be what it is. Britons, please take note of its name– we’re surprised that it actually has one– so you can avoid patronizing this driver or, if you have to, so you can remember to avoid giving him a tip. He is not worthy of the respect that a lady or gentleman accords a pet or a domestic animal. Here is the name of the cab company as well:

Mrs Vernon, who works as a legal officer for the Royal National Institute for the Blind, added: “The owner of the minicab firm, Niven Sinclair, was also very insensitive, telling me that what had happened to me wasn’t really very important, and I should have more respect for other people’s culture. (1) We do not regard you as a human being and we value your very existence less than that of a pet or a domestic animal, especially a highly-trained guide dog.
(2) Your Prophet was a murderous illiterate pedophiliac desert bandit who duped his fellow ignorant and credulous Stone Age bandits into dying in his holy wars.
(3) We would not call you a dog because dogs are friendly pets and valuable service animals, but “stinking pig” comes to mind. No offense is intended for pet pigs or their owners.
