Omdurman.org Demands Justice for Peace Activist Rachel Corrie, Victim of Palestinian Terror Organizations
It
is Omdurman.org's intention to make sure that Rachel Corrie is the last
American college student whom the International Solidarity Movement ever stands in front of a bulldozer or otherwise jeopardizes for its propaganda purposes.
- ISM director George Rishmawi, ISM member Joseph Smith, and a Hamas terrorist state openly a motive for wanting Rachel to be killed.
- http://www.standwithus.com/news_post.asp?NPI=85 "Recently, the Director of the Solidarity Movement, George Rishmawi, explained to the San Francisco Chronicle that the recruitment
of American student volunteers is useful to the Palestinian Movement
because "if some of these foreign volunteers get shot or even killed,
then the international media will sit up and take notice.""
- Joseph Smith, who was present when Corrie died and whose highest priority was apparently to take pictures, said,
""The spirit that she died for is worth a life. This idea of
resistance, this spirit of resisting this brutal occupying force, is
worth anything. And many, many, many Palestinians give their lives for
it all the time. So the life of one international, I feel, is more than worth the spirit of resisting oppression."
- A Hamas terrorist said openly that Rachel was worth more dead than alive. "'Her
death serves me more
than it served her,' said one activist at a Hamas funeral
yesterday.
'...Her death will bring more
attention than the other 2,000 martyrs.'" Making of a Martyr by Sandra
Jordan, Guardian Newspapers
- When you are more useful to your friends dead than you are alive, it is time to find new friends.
- The ISM posted what look like photomanipulated fake photos in conjunction with Rachel Corrie's death.
- If you were investigating a murder—
and the ISM has accused Israel of "murdering" Rachel Corrie— and one
of the witnesses to the so-called murder (the ISM) presented you with
obviously-fabricated evidence, what would you think?.
|
- Several of Rachel's "friends" in the ISM testified vigorously about their eyewitness accounts of her death but not one of them lifted a finger to pull her out of the slowly-moving bulldozer's path. This suggests at best a callous disregard for the young woman's life.
- "Her British friend and fellow activist,
Tom Dale, 18, from Lichfield in Staffordshire, said he saw her die.
First, he said, there was fear on her face as she realised that her
defiant gesture was going wrong. Joe Smith, 21, who went to college
with Corrie, said that, although they acknowledged the danger, they saw
death as a 'small, unlikely, potential risk'."
- That's very interesting. He was close
enough to see the fear on her face but he stood there and did nothing
to save her when HE realized that her "defiant gesture was going wrong."
- "The activists have compelling photographic evidence to support eyewitness claims that Corrie's death was a deliberate, murderous mowing down of a unarmed protester." Photomanipulated evidence, and that says plenty.
- "Dale watched as she knelt down in front of
the bulldozer, perhaps 20 metres away, something the activists had done
repeatedly that day as they had in the past. 'The bulldozer went
towards her, very slowly, she was fully in clear view, straight in
front of them.'"
- He himself testifies that the bulldozer
was moving very slowly-- plenty of time for him or another man to pull
her out of its path when it became clear that (for whatever reason) it
was not going to stop.
- "A traumatised Smith raised his camera and
took photographs: Rachel standing in front of the bulldozer; then her
bloodied body being pulled from the freshly turned soil; being cradled
in the arms of her friends."
- That's interesting. Why was his
highest priority the taking of photographs when his friend, or so she
thought herself, was in immediate danger of life and limb??? Remember, this is from the ISM's own testimony as reported on a site friendly to the ISM and not from a pro-Zionist site.
- "'If only they'd had a video camera,' one
Palestinian journalist lamented. 'A film of the Israelis killing an
American in cold blood would have ended the intifada.'"
- The Palestinian journalist's primary lament is that they didn't have a video camera— and not that they didn't pull Rachel out of the bulldozer's path.
- The Palestinians have a track record for
using their own people for suicide missions without their knowledge or
consent, so why not kill Rachel Corrie as well?
- "Sending Children off to die." In March 2004, Palestinian
terrorists gave 11-year-old Abdullah Quran a shrapnel bomb (without his
knowledge, which emphasizes the importance of never accepting
any kind of package from a stranger at an airport) which they could
detonate by remote control. Israeli soldiers saved the innocent boy's
life by finding the bomb but the lesson is clear. Palestinian
terrorists are willing to murder Muslim boys by using them as
unwitting bombs, so they're obviously willing to kill infidel American women if that will help them make propaganda.
- Guardian Limited story
- Crime Library story
- "World Watch" by Ian Black (The Guardian) reminds us of this one as well: " Looking back to 1986, to
the case of a Jordanian called Nezar Hindawi, some curious parallels
emerge. Hindawi duped his Irish girlfriend, pregnant with his child,
into trying to board an El Al plane at Heathrow with a bomb he had
secretly hidden in her luggage."
- Rachel Corrie was alive when she was taken by ambulance
to a hospital, where she died. Since Hamas is in the business of murder
and it said openly that Rachel was more useful to them dead than alive,
one wonders if air bubbles or potassium chloride got into her
intravenous line... or maybe her mouth and nostrils were just pinched
shut for a while to make sure she would "bring more attention than the
other 2000 martyrs," to use Hamas' own words.
- Conclusion: Rachel Corrie, a female and an infidel
(and therefore worth little more than a domestic animal to many
Islamofascists, noting that Saudi law values a Christian female at
one-quarter the value of a Muslim male) was expendible. The only remaining question is how much of a role the Palestine Solidarity Movement had in "expending" her.
ISM member Tom Dale's testimony from the ISM's own Web site
Many of you will of heard varying accounts of the death of Rachel Corrie,
maybe others will have heard nothing of it. Regardless, I was 10 metres
away when it happened 2 days ago, and this is the way it went.
We’d
been monitoring and occasionally obstructing the 2 bulldozers for about
2 hours when 1 of them turned toward a house we knew to be threatened
with demolition. Rachel knelt down in its way. She was 10-20 metres in
front of the bulldozer, clearly visible, the only object for many
metres, directly in it’s view. They were in Radio contact with a tank
that had a profile view of the situation. There is no way she could not
have been seen by them in their elevated cabin. They knew where she
was, there is no doubt.
The bulldozer drove toward Rachel
slowly, gathering earth in its scoop as it went.
[If the bulldozer was demolishing houses, why bother to scoop up earth? Why not just drive through the houses?]
She knelt there, she
did not move. The bulldozer reached her and she began to stand up,
climbing onto the mound of earth. She appeared to be looking into the
cockpit. The bulldozer continued to push Rachel, so she slipped down
the mound of earth, turning as she went. Her faced showed she was
panicking and it was clear she was in danger of being overwhelmed.
[Note that this individual says nothing
whatsoever about his own actions, or lack thereof, while the bulldozer
slowly-- to use his own words-- ran over her. A young and able-bodied
man should have easily been able to traverse 10 meters in less than
three seconds, grab Rachel's arm, and pull her out of the way.]
All
the activists were screaming at the bulldozer to stop and gesturing to
the crew about Rachel’s presence.
[The activists had been screaming at the bulldozer
all day, so the driver probably assumed it was just more protesting.
Remember also that he was inside an armored cabin with a very large
engine running beneath him.]
We were in clear view as Rachel had
been, they continued. They pushed Rachel, first beneath the scoop, then
beneath the blade, then continued till her body was beneath the
cockpit. They waited over her for a few seconds, before reversing. They
reversed with the blade pressed down, so it scraped over her body a
second time. Every second I believed they would stop but they never did.
I
ran for an ambulance, she was gasping and her face was covered in blood
from a gash cutting her face from lip to cheek.
[This reinforces Omdurman.org's contention that
a hard hat, which the ISM recklessly and negligently chose not to
provide, might have prevented Rachel's head injuries and perhaps saved
her life-- especially if "brain hemorrhaging" played a role in doing
her in.]
She was showing signs
of brain hemorrhaging. [How do you know, "Doctor" Dale?] She died in the ambulance a few minutes later of
massive internal injuries.
[As
shown here, however, "Palestinian doctors try to save the life of
Rachel Corrie at the Najar hospital in the southern Gaza town of Rafah." Do doctors normally try to save the lives of dead people?]
Palestinian doctors try to save Rachel Corrie's life even though Tom Dale says she died in the ambulance.
Bulldozer pictures being
circulated by pro-Palestinian sources on the Internet

Note also that the sun on the building that faces the bulldozer is
consistent with the sun falling on the back of the bulldozer blade. The
same goes for the lack of sunlight on the right side of the bulldozer
blade and on the side of the building.
Furthermore, the Electronic Intifada reports,
"Picture
taken between 3:00-4:00PM, 16 March 2003, Rafah, Occupied Gaza. Rachel
Corrie (L) and Nick (R) oppose the potential destruction of this home
(to the west of the Doctor's home where Rachel was killed). In the
instance pictured, the bulldozer did not stop and Rachel was pinned
between the scooped earth and the fence behind her. On this occasion,
the driver stopped before seriously injuring her. Photo by Joseph Smith
(ISM Handout)."
Although the picture was supposedly taken in the late
afternoon in late winter, Rachel's shadow is shorter than her body.
This suggests a very high sun angle, perhaps almost noon for that time
and place. There are a LOT of things wrong with this photograph.
The British-owned passenger liner Lusitania sails from New
York,
allegedly with war materials (contraband) in her hold. Many American
citizens
are on the ship despite numerous public warnings from Germany that she
was
a legitimate military target (due to the England-bound war materials in
her
hold). A German submarine torpedoes and sinks the Lusitania,
with
a large loss of American life.
Anglo-French propagandists use this incident to whip up anti-German
sentiment in the U.S. This cartoon (Rogers, William A. "He Had Expected
to Find the President Alone," New York Herald, 6/3/1915) is an
example. Meeting of the German ambassador with President Woodrow
Wilson. The banner in the background says, "Little Lost Children of the
Lusitania."
http://www.gwpda.org/naval/lusika03.htm re: the alleged transportation
of munitions in the Lusitania. My high school history book
(Colton and Palmer's A History of Modern Europe, late 1960s/
early 1970s edition) also suggests that munitions were being carried by
the Lusitania.
If England knowingly and willfully made the Lusitania a
legitimate military target by putting war materials in her hold then
England, not Germany, was responsible for the deaths of dozens or
hundreds of Americans-- followed by more than a hundred thousand more
when the American public and Woodrow Wilson allowed themselves to be
led by this propaganda into England's, France's, and Russia's war.

2003: Rachel Corrie
The International Solidarity Movement (ISM) encouraged American citizen
Rachel Corrie to stand in front of armored Israeli bulldozers that were
demolishing, among other things, tunnels that were being used by
terrorists. Although the
ISM members had plenty of time to take pictures of Ms. Corrie doing
this, none seemed able to pull her out of the path of the bulldozer
that ran over her because its driver could not see her.
Now ISM, Electronic Intifada, and other Palestinian propaganda fronts
are pointing emphatically to this idealistic young martyress and laying
her death at Israel's feet. As shown by the story of the Lusitania,
however, things are not always what they seem.
This account from Wikipedia
(emphasis is mine):
- Roughly an hour before the fatal incident the IDF used tear
gas and fired warning shots to disperse the ISM protesters, who
then
later regrouped.
- Tom Dale, an 18-year old British protestor and fellow ISM
activist standing several yards away, said she was "kneeling
in front of the bulldozer and tried to scramble out of its
way."
Note that Israel tried to get the ISM demonstrators away from the area,
partly for their own safety. The ISM people effectively disobeyed an
order
from the police (or army) to leave a certain area. If the IDF had
arrested
and deported these people instead of dispersing them, Ms. Corrie would
still be alive.

Killing your friends to make propaganda:
historical examples from Sun Tzu's The
Art of War
James
Clavell's translation of Sun Tzu's The
Art of War (IX, "The Army on
the March"), a Ch'i city was defended by T'ien Tan. Can anyone say,
"Please don't throw me in the briar patch, Br'er Fox?"
"T'ien Tan openly said: 'My only
fear
is that the Yen army may cut off the noses of their Ch'i prisoners and
place them in the front rank to fight against us; that would be the
undoing of the city."
"The other side, being informed of this speech, at once acted on the
suggestion; but those within the city were enraged at seeing their
fellow countrymen thus mutilated, and fearing only lest they should
fall into the enemy's hands, were nerved to defend themselves more
obstinately than ever."
"Once again T'ien Tan sent back converted spies who reported these
words to the enemy: 'What I dread most is that the men of Yen may dig
up the ancestral tombs outside the town, and by inflicting this
indignity on our forefathers cause us to become fainthearted."
The besiegers did this as well, with the effect of enraging the
defenders even further.
T'ien Tan was therefore sufficiently ruthless to cause the mutilation
of his own soldiers and the desecration of his own people's graves in
order to achieve his mission. I am sure the Palestinians are
sufficiently ruthless to throw a young American woman's life away for
exactly the same purpose. |
The
Molly Maguires
Movie with Sean Connery and Richard Harris, based on actual events in
Schuylkill County, PA
The private detective played by Richard Harris had to infiltrate a
violent secret society, the Molly Maguires. After being arrested in a
barroom brawl, he is taken to the Welsh police captain (who knows his
identity). The captain remarks, "It wouldn't do to send you back
unmarked," and hits the detective in the face with his nightstick. "We
have to make it look good." I think the detective's answer was, "I
admire a man who likes his work."
The detective later helps the Mollies beat up a police officer who beat
one of the Irish miners. "You broke my man's jaw in two places,"
complained the police captain. "I had to make it look good," the
detective answered.
The Molly Maguires later vote on whether to bash (beat up) or kill one
of the abusive mine bosses (one of the people who is employing the
detective to protect their interests). The deciding vote falls to the
detective who says, "Kill the son of a bitch." The detective is willing
to get someone on his own side killed so he can set the Mollies up to
be tried for murder and hanged.

Would a hard hat, as is often required in
U.S. construction sites, have saved Rachel Corrie's life?
Was the International Solidarity Movement negligent and reckless in
allowing or encouraging its volunteers to mingle with moving
construction equipment without safety apparel? (Not intended as formal
engineering advice or expert engineering testimony, although I am sure
professional civil engineers or certified safety professionals could be
found who could provide such testimony.)
- Exhibit 1: Head injuries were cited as a cause of Rachel
Corrie's death
- Exhibit 2: Neither Rachel Corrie nor the man with her in the
pictures shown above were wearing hard hats.

Palestinian-run International
Solidarity
Movement knowingly and willfully puts its volunteers in
harm's way
Don't take Omdurman.org's word for it; take ISM's as shown below. ISM
recruits Americans and puts them into dangerous situations--
perhaps in the hope they will be killed?
http://www.freepalestinecampaign.org/about.htm (6 August 2003)
The International Solidarity Movement is committed to
recruiting, training, and deploying Americans and other internationals
every month to do principled, nonviolent direct action to resist
Israel’s
occupation and force an end to it. ...Palestinian activists
trying to work or protest alone face harsh punishment from Israeli
forces. This has included beatings, long-term arrests, serious injury
and even death.
Well, at least they're honest. If you go into someone else's war zone
and interfere with the activities of someone's armed forces and police
authorities, you might get arrested, injured, or killed.
ISM encourages Americans to commit sabotage, espionage, and other
crimes
From
http://www.freepalestinecampaign.org/ (6 August 2003)
Some actions you might take part in:
- dismantling earthen roadblocks
- observing and intervening at checkpoints
- taking over a checkpoint
- wheat-pasting a tank
Please be assured that
ISM does
not encourage or pressure anyone to participate in an action that is
beyond their level of comfort. Some actions are riskier than others,
and you should use your own judgment.
"Dismantling roadblocks" could be construed as sabotage of military
operations (in peacetime). "Intervening at checkpoints" and "taking
over a checkpoint" mean interfering with law enforcement and military
operations. "Wheat-pasting" is a form of vandalism (malicious or
criminal mischief). |
http://israelbehindthenews.com/Archives/Jul-04-03.htm#agitate
"Group
members have also reported
Israeli troop movements to armed
Palestinian units", Bedein said, and they intervene at checkpoints to
facilitate the transit of Palestinians who may be terrorists. As well,
they have prevented Israel from monitoring and closing tunnels used to
smuggle arms into Gaza from Egypt.
Reporting one country's troop movements to opposing armed units is, I
believe, commonly known as espionage,
which is a capital military crime. A government would
probably be within its rights to have you court-martialed and executed
for doing something like this.
Facilitating the transit of armed guerrillas, and interfering with the
closure of tunnels that are used to smuggle arms, are probably serious
and possibly capital military crimes. Although Israel does not have the
death penalty, another country could easily have you shot or hanged for
doing these things. (You could certainly go to jail in Israel, possibly
for life, for doing it.) And they would be within their rights under
international law.
|
If you are
thinking about interfering with the
military operations of Israel (or any country), read this carefully.
I doubt that ISM tells its volunteers just how dangerous it is to
fiddle around with a military operation, but I will. During wartime (or
around sensitive installations even during peacetime), you can be shot for
disobeying a sentry's order to halt . This was, in fact,
the fate of Israel's greatest hero, American-born David
Mickey Marcus. If a sentry can kill his own country's hero (who
would have complied with the sentry's instructions had he known what
was going on) by mistake, imagine what can happen to you if you disobey
an order to halt. This is quite consistent with the orders my father
received when he stood guard duty during the Second World War.
Discretion was not allowed; if it failed to stop after three challenges
plus an optional warning shot, you shot to kill. That was a military
order and sentries were required to obey it. (The truck bombing of the
Marine barracks in Beirut shows the reason behind such no-discretion orders.) There is also a
story that a senty fired a warning shot at General Patton for driving
past his post without stopping. Patton drove back, tore the stripes
from the man's sleeve, and said, 'That's for missing!"
David Daniel Mickey Marcus, a tough
Brooklyn street kid,
rose by virtue of his courage and intelligence to help save Israel in
1948
and become its first general since Judah Maccabee.
...Tragically Marcus did not live to see the peace. Six
hours before the cease fire began, in the village Of Abu Ghosh near
Jerusalem, Marcus was unable to sleep. He walked beyond the guarded
perimeter wrapped in his bed sheet. A Jewish sentry saw a white-robed
figure approaching and, not understanding Marcus's response to his
challenge, fired a single, fatal shot. (Source: Jewish
Virtual Library)
Incidentally, it is doubtful that the Israeli sentry got
into any trouble for killing General Marcus, who was to Israel what
Lafayette, Baron von Steuben, or even George Washington were to the
United States. We can imagine how the man felt about this but he was
guarding his post as he had been ordered to do.
The
ISM condones and advocates Palestinian
violence.
http://www.freepalestinecampaign.org/about.htm
(6 August 2003)
As enshrined in international law and UN resolutions,
we
recognize the Palestinian right to resist Israeli violence and
occupation via legitimate armed struggle. However, we believe
that nonviolence can be a powerful weapon in fighting oppression and we
are committed to the principles of nonviolent resistance.
"Legitimate armed struggle" means combat between uniformed
combatants who
bear arms openly and do not try to disguise themselves as
noncombatants. I
have yet to hear of an action between uniformed Palestinians (or even
Palestinians wearing armbands that show they are combatants) against
the Israeli Defense Force. I wonder what ISM means by "legitimate armed
struggle," then. Blowing up Seders, dance halls, shopping centers, and
buses, perhaps?
|
The ISM
has been used for
cover by terrorists
http://israelbehindthenews.com/Archives/Jul-04-03.htm#agitate
Days before a
British suicide bomber detonated an explosives
belt in Mike's Place, a bar in suburban Tel Aviv, the bomber and
an associate took tea with members of the International
Solidarity Movement (ISM), a pro-Palestinian group that promotes
non-violent resistance to Israeli occupation.
ISM immediately
disassociated itself from the bombers (one escaped),
saying the pair merely tagged along with a group of new arrivals to the
region, but Israeli security services quickly began to clamp down on
foreign supporters of the Palestinian cause.
|
ISM's
organizers openly proclaim a two-pronged strategy of violence and
nonviolence
http://www.freepalestinecampaign.org/attacks_on_ISM.htm
Two of the ISM's
well-known leaders, Adam Shapiro and his wife, Huwaida Arraf, defended
the use of violence against Israelis in a January 2002 article in the Palestine Chronicle:
"The Palestinian resistance must take on a
variety of characteristics -- both nonviolent and violent. But most
importantly it must develop a strategy involving both aspects...
[W]e accept that Palestinians have a right to resist with arms, as they
are an occupied people upon whom force and violence is being used. The
Geneva Conventions accept that armed resistance is legitimate for an
occupied people, and there is no doubt that this right cannot be
denied."
|
ISM
encourages volunteers to enter Israel under false pretenses
http://www.palsolidarity.org/traveltopalestine/travelingtopalestine.htm
Many people are afraid to come
via Tel Aviv because Palestinian sympathizers are being denied entry
into the country. We believe that it's less suspicious if you
come through Israel
but you have to have a really good
story about
why you are coming, and must not mention anything about ISM or
knowing, liking or planning to visit Palestinians. You must play
it as though your visit is for other, Israel-based reasons, like
tourism, religion, visiting an Israeli friend, etc. So do a
little bit of research and put together a story that you'll be able to
answer questions about. For example, if you say you are visiting
a friend in Jerusalem,
you should have the
name and phone number of a real Israeli person. If you are coming
for religious purposes, have a book or two on religion and travel in
Israel; have an
itinerary, etc.

Susan Barclay, the ISM organizer
deported by Israel after she hid
Islamic Jihad terrorist Shadi Sukiya in the ISM office in Jenin,
told
the Seattle Post Intelligencer that, "she knowingly worked with
representatives from Hamas and Islamic Jihad -- terrorist groups that
sponsor suicide bombings and exist, according to their charters, to
demolish the Jewish state entirely." (Seattle Post Intelligencer,
Thursday March 20, 2003, Activist's death focuses spotlight on
Mideast struggle, By Sam Skolnik, Seattle Post-Intelligencer
reporter
[
Ref12])
It sounds like Ms. Barclay provided "safe house" assistance to a
terrorist, and she was lucky to have been deported instead of
imprisoned (noting that Israel does not have capital punishment). One
wonders if ISM might one day decide to provide "safe house" assistance
to the next batch of Al Qaida who want to hijack planes full of
innocent people and crash them into skyscrapers, or perhaps blow up
some trains full of innocent commuters.

In fact, [ISM member Susan]
Barclay said in an interview with the Seattle

worked with representatives from the two groups.

ISM Volunteers: you could also be shot in
the back
If you go to Israel and the West Bank as an ISM volunteer, be very,
very careful. Casualties among
Americans and Britons are very useful for propaganda purposes.
If you go into an area in which Palestinian terrorists exchange
violence with the Israeli Defense Forces, you could easily be shot in the back, from
the Palestinian side of the engagement, with weapons of the same
caliber as those used by the IDF. Terrorists
who are willing to blow up busloads of women and children (and use 11-year-old Palestinians as unwitting bombs) are not above
making American and British corpses from which to make propaganda.
A skilled forensics expert could probably tell the direction of the
shot that kills you, assuming that the Palestinians and their
supporters don't move your body.
We really need to look into Tom Hurndall and Brian Avery, both of whom
were shot and seriously injured. The weapons used were apparently of
the same caliber that is used by the IDF, and they presumably used
Geneva Convention (jacketed) ammunition. This does not necessarily mean
they were fired by the IDF.
Tom Hurndall is being used by terrorists (Al Aqsa) to raise money.
http://www.caabu.org/campaigns/hurndall-appeal.html
And here is some more commentary about Tom Hurndall
http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/ReadArticle.asp?ID=7361
It suggests that he may have been armed and was firing at the IDF,
which returned the fire.
Terrorist organizations were
quick to reap
the benefits of Rachel Corrie's death
Terrorist organizations kept their bloody hands well out of sight
when
their nonviolent arm, the International Solidarity Movement, recruited
this innocent and well-meaning, but unfortunately impressionable, young
American woman. Once she was dead, though, they exulted in her
"martyrdom" and were quick to turn her innocent blood into ink for
their propaganda campaign.
In Rafah, Arafat's
political party Fatah held a wake for 'Retchell Corie', attended by
representatives of Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the Al-Aqsa Martyrs
brigade, among others. These
are the militant Islamic fronts condemned
by Rachel's government as terrorists. Their people mingled with
secular
organisations and droves of ordinary Palestinians who came to pay their
respects, including children carrying a sign: 'Rachel, we love you as
an angel.' A little boy pointed to a picture of her and said: 'She died
defending this holy and blessed land.'
It is the first time an American has been adopted as a Palestinian
martyr.
Rachel Corrie's idealism and youth made it
possible for skilled and experienced manipulators to deceive her into
supporting their cause. She did not deserve to die for being victimized
by these individuals, but she is now just as dead as the victim of a
Palestinian homicide bomb or of the September 11 2001 attacks.
In Gaza, Rachel is not being mourned as
a victim, but rather, celebrated and honored as a martyr, a shaheeda,
which is also the word for "witness" in Arabic.
...Rachel's body was
fragile, no match for a US-supplied armoured
Caterpillar bulldozer; it is broken now, her life extinguished. ...May
the tragedy of her death, and the nobility and courage of her life,
inspire all High Contracting Parties to the Geneva Conventions to do
their sacred duty and halt Israeli impunity.
In other words, if you can't
get them to strap on homicide bombs because they believe in peace and
nonviolence, get them to kneel in front of bulldozers. That's even
better because all civilized people regard homicide bombers as
murderous scum, but it's also normal to sympathize with a nonviolent
pacifist.

Hamas' pen dripping with Rachel Corrie's
innocent blood
"'Her death serves me more
than it served her,' said one activist at a Hamas funeral

The
Victimization and Martyrdom of an Idealistic Young American
 Roles and relationships
First tier: Palestinian
handlers/ manipulators. May easily be involved with actual
practitioners of terroristic violence, noting that members of genuine terror
organizations like Hamas celebrated this victim's "martyrdom."
Second tier:
International Solidarity Movement, the fellow traveler; does not
practice violence but condones it.
Third tier: the
sympathizer (not involved here, but there are plenty of militant
Palestinian students at American campuses who might play this role)
Fourth tier: Rachel
Corrie, the innocent victim who is manipulated and decieved.
ISM (voice provided by Achmed): "Hi, Rachel, I understand that you're
an idealistic young American who wants to make the world into a better
place."
Rachel: "That's right, I'm against oppression and human suffering."
ISM: "Good! How would you like to help us resist the Israeli
occupation?"
Rachel: "Yes, as long as you aren't planning to hurt anyone the way
those terrorists do. Hurting people isn't the way to solve anything."
ISM: "We
recognize the Palestinian right to resist Israeli violence and
occupation via legitimate armed struggle. However, we believe
that nonviolence can be a powerful weapon in fighting oppression and we
are committed to the principles of nonviolent resistance. We do
only nonviolent resistance ourselves, the way Martin Luther King and
Gandhi did." [Underlined material is what ISM actually says.]
Rachel: "Awesome! I'd like to join you!"
ISM: "Good, pack your things and come with us."
Rachel: "I will. Hey, did I just feel a drop of warm rain?"
Achmed (muting ISM microphone): "Dammit, Hassan! Clean that knife off
and put it away, for crying out loud!"
ISM (microphone back on): "Uh, yes, that must be it; it must be
starting to rain. Heh heh, that's it; it's starting to rain."

Justice for Rachel Corrie
And tell the pleasant prince this mock of his
Hath turn'd his balls
to gun-stones; and his soul
Shall stand sore
charged for the wasteful vengeance
That shall fly with
them: for many a thousand widows
Shall this his mock
mock out of their dear husbands;
Mock mothers from their
sons, mock castles down;
And some are yet
ungotten and unborn
That shall have cause
to curse the Dauphin's scorn.
|
But this lies all within the will of God,
To whom I do appeal;
and in whose name
Tell you the Dauphin I
am coming on,
To venge me as I may
and to put forth
My rightful hand in a
well-hallow'd cause.
So get you hence in
peace; and tell the Dauphin
His jest will savour
but of shallow wit,
When thousands weep
more than did laugh at it.
-- King Henry V, Act I

Omdurman.org is looking at
Electronic Intifada's inflammatory and possibly libelous propaganda (a
false accusation of a crime such as murder is libel if it is directed
at an individual, such as the Israeli bulldozer driver, and EI does
this) to see if it is a violation of the Middle East Cultural and
Charitable Society's 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. Per IRS publication
557, "method used not educational" includes, with relevant criteria
highlighted:
(1)
The
presentation
of viewpoints unsupported by facts is a significant part of the
organization's
communications.
(2) The facts that
purport to support the viewpoint are distorted.
(3) The
organization's presentations make substantial use of inflammatory and
disparaging terms and express conclusions more on the basis of emotion
than of
objective evaluations.
(4) The approach used
is not aimed at developing an understanding on the part of the audience
because
it does not consider their background or training.
The information at http://www.omdurman.org/intifada/
has been sent to the Internal Revenue Service; the contact address is
on that page. If you find other examples of violations of the above
provisions, Omdurman.org encourages you to forward these to the IRS as
well. |
ISM Front Organizations from http://www.stoptheism.com/info.htm (Stop the ISM)
This group contends, incidentally, that the ISM gave aid and comfort to the July 2005 subway bombings in London.
Maybe the following groups should be brought to the attention of
Homeland Security before they help bring the London subway bombings to
America
- Al Awda
- Middle East
Children’s Alliance
- Palestinian Right to Return Coalition
- Palsolidarity
- SUSTAIN
- Voices in the Wilderness
- Wheels of Justice Tour

Electronic Intifada's Nigel Parry: Proven Liar for ISM's Al Awda
Nigel Parry of the Electronic Intifada (part of the 501(c)(3) tax-exempt Middle East Cultural and Charitable Society) recently wrote the following
about Lee Kaplan of Stop the ISM. It is very poor judgment to make
accusations like this while leaving proof all over the Internet that
one’s own statements are blatantly false. Nigel Parry is not merely a
liar, but an incompetent one in the bargain.
[Nigel Parry of the 501(c)(3) tax exempt Middle East Cultural and
Charitable Society] that runs Electronic Intifada stated, "We simply
cannot be bothered to deal with the other distortions and fantasy in
Lee Kaplan’s 'SFSU to host Al Awda’s tax deductible war on the Jews' —
found at http://www.canadafreepress.com/2006/kaplan061706.htm — because
it would take all weekend and the sun is out. But the one distortion
that needs to be addressed is the following:
“Al-Awda operates another website known as the Electronic Intifada.” From the Canada Free Press website. “Free” apparently, to make up anything it pleases. (Screenshot by EI) The fact of the matter is that Al-Awda has absolutely no role in The Electronic Intifada, nor has it ever."
Mr. Parry will not enjoy the following, but he and the Electronic Intifada are going to take it from us nonetheless.
Unlike a good practitioner of taqqiya, Nigel Parry is too stupid
even to tell believable lies. “The fact of the matter is that Al-Awda
has absolutely no role in The Electronic Intifada, nor has it ever.” We
shall see.
Electronicintifada.org is actually registered to Nigel Parry himself. Electronicintifada.com is, however, registered as follows.

Al-Awda and its structure
What is Al-Awda, The Palestine Right to Return Coalition?
Al-Awda, The Palestine Right to Return Coalition, is a broad-based,
non-partisan, global democratic association of grassroots activists and
organizational representatives regardless of their religious, ethnic,
political affiliation. Our objective is to educate the international
community to fulfill its legal and moral obligations vis-a-vis
Palestinian refugees based on The Universal Declaration of Human
Rights, International law and implementation of United Nations
Resolutions upholding the inalienable right of Palestinians to return
to their homeland and to restitution of all their confiscated and
destroyed property.

But Nigel Parry wants us to believe, “The fact of the matter is that
Al-Awda has absolutely no role in The Electronic Intifada, nor has it
ever.” Now, Mr. Parry, do you want to tell us that again? And don’t
bother deleting these Web pages, because we have downloaded all of them
for future reference. Furthermore, Al-Awda is, like the Electronic Intifada, a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization whose own activities require considerable scrutiny.
SPAT UPON, THREATENED, WE STOOD FOR PALESTINE
by Ali Abunimah
May 6, 2001
CHICAGO — \”Arafat is filthy swine, there is no Palestine,\” and
\”Thank you for killing my cousins in Israel,\” were some of the more
polite slogans shouted at Al-Awda activist Benjamin Doherty and me
as we protested silently at the annual \”Walk With Israel\” on
Chicago\’s lakefront today, Sunday. The Jewish United Fund
(JUF)-sponsored event, a fundraiser for Israel attended by over a
thousand local Zionists, was billed as a \”Family Walk.\” Despite this,
a man with his two young daughters was not the only one to give us the
finger and shout \”F**k You\” as we stood, just the two of us,
surrounded by a half dozen police officers, on a pleasant late spring
day by Lake Michigan.
But Mr. Parry said ” Al-Awda has absolutely no role in The
Electronic Intifada, nor has it ever.” How does this statement
reconcile with the Electronic Intifada’s leadership team as listed here–not at Lee Kaplan’s Web site, but at your own?

In fact, Mr. Parry, we see another name here, Arjan El Fassed. Let’s take a good look at him.
4 January 2001 AL-AWDA: “NO RETURN, NO JUSTICE, NO PEACE” EXPOSING THE INHERENT RACISM OF ZIONIST ISRAELI PEACE GROUPS
PRRC strongly believes that the struggle for peace and justice must
be democratic and reflect the Palestinians’ desire and right to return.
PRRC appeals to people of conscience and peace advocates to seize the
opportunity now to help raise Palestinian voices that have been
silenced for 52 years for a just and sustainable peace rooted in
granting the Palestinian people their legitimate right to freedom and return.

Ali Abunimah, whom Nigel Parry would have us believe has nothing to do with Al-Awda, also wrote the following.
DEMAND U.S. INVESTIGATE SHARON FOR WAR CRIMES
By Ali Abunimah
CALL, EMAIL, FAX-IN TODAY
DEMAND U.S. INVESTIGATE SHARON FOR WAR CRIMES
Al-Awda, the Palestine Right to Return Coalition (PRRC) calls on all
people of conscience to call, email, and/or fax the White House and
State Department to express their concern about the visit of Israeli
Prime Minister Ariel Sharon to the United States, and to demand that
the United States cooperate in bringing Sharon to justice on charges of
war crimes and crimes against humanity before, during and after
Israel’s 1982 invasion and occupation of Lebanon.

Again, Nigel Parry of the 501(c)(3) tax exempt Middle East Cultural
and Charitable Society would have us believe, “The fact of the matter
is that Al-Awda has absolutely no role in The Electronic Intifada, nor
has it ever.” We hope he exucses us for being at least slightly
incredulous of this claim in light of the following. Again, this is
from Al-Awda.org, not Lee Kaplan, Omdurman.org, or other
pro-Civilization sources.
DON’T LET ETHNIC CLEANSING WIN - Prevent the Erosion of International Law 3 January 2001
Washington, DC (January 3, 2001) - In a letter sent to the Palestinian Authority, the United States and the European Union, the Palestine Right to Return Coalition (known in Arabic as Al-Awda)
wrote that “no agreement, negotiations or parties which purport to
trade away the right of return or any other inalienable rights can have
any legal basis and cannot bind or compel the Palestinian people to end
the struggle for the fulfillment of their internationally recognized
rights.”
